Whilst sorting out a HUGE stack of old books I came across a old paperback copy of Oliver Twist that was falling apart. As I went to toss it out I noticed it had lovely line drawings all throughout. SO naturally I had to tear them out. Now I just need to decide what to do with them? Collage? Use in a Junk Journal? Paint over? Altered page? decisions, decisions!
Any ideas, anyone?
Hi Linda, These pages would be beautiful in a journal. You could fold them and use them as signatures in a tiny book??. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHi Clare,
ReplyDeleteooh thats a good idea! I'll have a play and see :-)
I have no suggestions - but they are lovely !
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find! Just hang on to them ... The perfect use will present itself! nancy
ReplyDeleteScan them first and save them in your external hard drive--mine is called My Passport..they could be used in a collage like manner...because they are scanned you can make copies ...they would make a lovely sketch book cover laid out in a hap hazard manner---they even can be resized small enough to become a necklace when glued to dominoes...perhaps with old beads added here and there...a balloon could hold a print---find some quote from the book that inspires your mind...and that will speak to you of other possibilities...just a wooden block with holes drilled to hold pens or pencils with some of these prints collaged on it would make a handsome gift for anybody.....well, guess I'll stop now...hope this helps...your commission for the father was very touching ......winna
ReplyDeletegreat ideas - thanks! I set up the scanner just yesterday to scan some of my other artwork. I come across so much interesting ephemera, that I save, but then because they are kind of unique I am reticient to cut up... then I remembered the scanner! Too many ideas to try, and not enough hours in the day :-P
