Art Intervention Watercolour Spash Challenge!

List of projects to try just seems to grow...

watercolour & gouache
 encaustic anyone?
oils or acrylic?
painting.... help!!

so... how do I limit myself to just one?
And should I?
Experimentation is fun, and creative, etc... but to develop skill in one area, before moving on,
makes more sense, in a developmental and skills building way.

My challenge to myself (and anyone else who needs Art Intervention): Watercolour Splash!

I will try (see, I already have committment issues!)
between now and Christmas, to ONLY  use watercolour and sketching
(the two naturally go together anyway)
In watercolour I am going to include: gouache, and acryllic ink, and watercolour pencils - is that cheating?  (My rules so I can do as I want!)
BUT Only 1 new watercolour tool/supply/ added each week.
(man that's going to be HARD!)

hmmm - wish me luck!

Along the way I hope to share what worked, what didn't, tools, tricks, and things I discover :-)
To make sure you don't miss out - remember to join the blog here, or like me on FB!

  1. Since I don't draw, sketch, or paint anything except mixed media backgrounds, I look forward to this challenge. Sounds like you are on a mission, too.

BTW, I don't do facebook. It's just too much to try to keep up with all that other social media.

  2. I'm curious to see where this challenge is going to take you. Maybe I will try something similar one day...

  3. Water color painting is always very tricky. It is not something you can paint over and start again. But it is a lot of fun experimenting with. I am following you now and look is interested to see what you come up with.

  4. I will enjoy following you in this challenge your work is beautiful, I have enough challenges at the moment, I have been injured and am painting with my non dominate hand,

  5. This will be a great series. I love that you are already bending the rules - but that's what they are for right! Can't wait to see what you create. x

  6. Gorgeous work! And yes, too many things to try...too little time! Good luck in your challenge and I'll follow what you're doing! Thanks, Lori from 'waldorfmoms.com'.

  7. I've just found your blog from Debbie's Newbie party, and am your newest follower. I soooo wish to learn to paint. Your blog and your work are beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration.

I love your comments! I read them all, and I will do my best to reply to you here! xo L.
