AED 17, topsy turvy

A topsy turvey day calls for a topsy turvy drawing
a hot muggy night was followed by a thundery and lightening filled storm at 10.30 this morning!
At 11am it was black, and car drivers all had their lights on...
we sat and drank tea, with the first Fruit Mince tart for the year
and watched the rain... then it all finished!
Now its clear, and the birds are singing

inspired this 'lil critter... in brown pencil

with some decorative paper, glue, and a envelope...

voila - a cutsey, topsy, turvey gift card!

  1. You are very creative and draw very well. I couldn't draw or sketch if my life depended on it. You make it look so easy! Great way to create a gift card.

  2. Awww....such a cute, little thing....nice work! We had a couple of field mice as uninvited guests for a short period this past winter but, lucky for them, we used humane catch-and-release traps. Hopefully, they continued living their lives happily down by the creek near us.

It WAS so muggy, even at 6am this morning. You live in the Brissie area too?? As I'm typing this comment, I hear another storm brewing in the distance. Hopefully, it will skirt around us like the one this morning did.

Have a lovely and safe weekend ~ :)

    1. Hi Serena, thanks! That was a sweet thing to do with your little visitors! Yes Bris Bayside.. it's still muggy, and we still have storms... not much - some rain, thnder, lightening... but looks like we are fairly protected here.
      you too! xo L.

    2. That brewing storm last night ended up being over FIVE hours long....unbelievable, wasn't it?! I know a couple of artist bloggers who live on the Bayside, you lucky women!

    1. I was flicking through a old childs poetry book, and I took liberties with one of the mouse sketches I saw :-) Don'tthink I'd get a live mouse to pose still long enough doing a hand stand!
